54 year old patient from Rohtak with difficult in walking and severe pain in right knee was brought to Metro Hospital Faridabad. Her pain & suffering were increasing day by day. When patient was investigated it was found that she is suffering from Knee Osteoarthritis, but luckily only medial compartment of her knee was damaged. Hence a decision of unicompartmental knee replacement with navigation was taken. After successful surgery patient is walking pain free.
Knee Osteoarthritis is a condition in which the natural cushioning between joints & cartilage wears away. When this happens, the bones of the joints rub more closely against one another which results in pain, swelling, stiffness, decreased ability to move and, sometimes, the formation of bone spurs.
