Recently, a 68 year old super obese female got new lease on life after she underwent life changing bariatric surgery at Metro Hospital Faridabad. A resident of Iraq, was facing difficulty in walking and breathing due to her multiple medical conditions which includes diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroid with single functioning kidney. Her body mass index that normally should be less than 30 was above 70. Before coming to India, patient had consulted big hospitals where she was refused operation due to high risk.

She came to India and consulted Dr. Mradul Garg and Dr. Sachin Mittal, after a thorough evaluation bariatric surgery was performed, which took almost 4 hours to complete. Seeing the success of the surgery and improvement of her mother, patient’s daughter with BMI of 45 decided to undergo weight loss surgery for her healthy future. Both mother and daughter recovered very well and returned to their native place in a healthy and stable condition.
