World Hypertension Day falls on 17th May every year, "know your numbers" is the theme this year which focuses on checking blood pressure regularly. Normal blood pressure levels range between 120/80 to 140/90. If you are above the age of 18, you must check your blood pressure regularly (at least once in 2 months). Hypertension day is observed to raise awareness about high blood pressure, and aims to encourage people to take preventive measures against this lifestyle disease.

High blood pressure or Hypertension is a condition in which the arterial blood pressure rises higher than the normal levels.
